Garden Club
Welcome to the Norwell Garden Club web page.
We are a small but friendly garden club dedicated to encouraging and supporting an interest in growing flowers, vegetables and fruit and we are always very pleased to welcome new members.
We hold shows where members have a chance to enter the best of their flowers, vegetable produce and other plants and we organise outings, talks and social events.
Go to Events to see the agenda for the current year and details on previous events.
Our History
The origins of the Club are to a degree lost in the mists of time. Previously it was called the ‘Norwell Village Produce Association’ which could suggests a more serious interest in growing vegetables and other items for consumption, rather than purely for recreation and enjoyment. Perhaps the club's origins were the ‘Dig for Victory Campaign’ during the Second World War or possibly it has even earlier origins.
There were also strong links with the organization of the Annual Norwell Feast
